The Care to Drive programme is a volunteer led scheme operated by the Irish Cancer Society. It provides free transport for patients to and from their chemotherapy treatments or partner hospital appointments. You are collected from your home, driven to your appointment and brought back home again.
All of the volunteer drivers are carefully selected, vetted and trained.

To avail of the scheme first speak to your Oncology Nurse who will discuss with you whether the service is suitable for your needs. More information is also available from the Irish Cancer Society or call the National Cancer Helpline on 1800 200 700.
