A big thank you to the family and friends of the late Moira Irwin on taking part in this years ladies Dublin Mini Marathon. This year is the 10th anniversary of Moira's untimely death and indeed she would have been extremely proud of her fantastic family especially her daughter Chloe for raising much needed funds for the Castleblayney Cancer Society. A grand total of €2,275.

Odeta’s Chicks take part in the Dublin Ladies Mini Marathon in Aid of Castleblayney Cancer Society and raised a staggering €8,000.

Yet again the Horseman's Pub has come up trumps for Castleblayney Cancer Society with a recent head-shave raising much needed funds for the society.

A big word of thanks goes to Kienan O 'Sullivan, Paul MC Manus, Philip Byrne, James Duffy (Proprietor) and to Patrick Woods the chief organiser the lads raised a staggering 1,370 euro.

Our annual golf classic in memory of Una Cunningham take’s place this year on Friday 16th May at Concra Wood Golf Course Castleblayney. This is the 4th year of the classic organised by Una’s family and friends and is a major fundraiser for the society.

Best wishes to Joanne Kerr who has chosen us as her charity in "The Face of Tempted" competition. The final takes place in the Crowne Plaza Santry on Sunday 11th May.

Castleblayney Cancer Society held their A.G.M. in the Glencarn hotel on Thursday 13th March. The chairperson Mairead Mc Guinness welcomed everyone present to the 24th A.G.M.

Prior to commencing the business of the meeting the Chairperson paid tribute to the late Kathleen O Connor R.I.P.who was a supporter and fundraiser for the society.
